This website was supposed to be a place for me to post notes about my CCNP recertification.
In 2002 I finished my CCNP. 6 months before it expired, I decided to start this site with the intention of recertifying before the year was up. However, I ended up writing a book about Check Point FireWall-1, which pushed off the recertification project. As a result, I’ve been mostly writing for fun as I procrastinate redoing all my Cisco exams.
While the site started off CCNP related, I’ve taken some detours and such into topics that interest me. I’m fortunate enough to have some routers of my own (pics coming soon), and doing most of this stuff for a day job anyway.
I love to talk shop, so if you want to contact me:

In April 2006 I passed my CCNA. Shortly after I passed BCMSN. I’ve also passed ISCW after being the tech editor for the Cisco Press book by the same name.

Great site. I’m working on my ccnp currently and ran across your site. Love the articles posted on multicast. Especially since I’m scheduled to take the composite exam on friday. I’ve got some notes that I’ve put into a pdf on OSPF areas that I’d like to share, and this looks like the appropriate place to share.
Got an address I can forward the document to you for your review/possible post?
